Race Numbers Motocross

Motocross racing numbers?

I'm wanting to get the number of races for my CRF250R. If i start racing it matter what number I get? so if anyone has the number how I can check if available

Some drivers use the number assigned AMA, but many do not. It is entirely your choice. If you choose 101, for example, and someone else has that number then one of you put a slash with black tape across the number, so you have to cut 101 and 101. This is the most common form used in the races of the AMA, any other events can add an "x" the final number, etc. Many runners choose a number that means something personal to them or a number of them have been lucky in the past, the drivers are superstitious.
